Eric Daniel Lorenz
Friendship- Eric Daniel Lorenz, 24, of 17 Factory Street died unexpectedly at his home on Wednesday (Jan. 7, 2009).
Born Nov. 24, 1984, in Charleston, S.C., he was a son of William Daniel and Roseanne C. Beach Lorenz.
Eric grew up in Norfolk, Va., and in 2002 moved to Allegany with his parents. He was a 2003 graduate of Olean High School and in 2007 he and his parents moved to Friendship. Eric was a participant in the Dayhab Program in Allegany.
He loved people, doing volunteer work whenever he could. One of those things he enjoyed doing was Cattaraugus County Meals on Wheels. He also liked to watch movies on DVDs.
He was a member of Mt. Zion Christian Assembly Church in Olean.
Surviving in addition to his parents of Friendship are his paternal grandmother, Pricilla Lorenz of Coshocton, Ohio; three brothers, Rayburn Nails of Williamsburg, Va., Brian Nails of Friendship, and Jeffrey Nails of Olean; and several cousins.
He was predeceased by his paternal grandfather, William Gilbert Lorenz.
Friends may call at the Treusdell Funeral Home, Friendship, from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Friday. Funeral services will be held Saturday (Jan. 10, 2009) at 2 p.m. at Mt. Zion Christian Assembly Church in Olean. The Rev. Steve Patrick, pastor, will officiate and burial will be in Maple Grove Cemetery, Friendship.
