James L. Tronetti


    WARREN- James L. Tronetti, 77, of Benjamin Lane, formerly of Roulette, died Sunday (Dec. 27, 2009) at his home, with his family by his side.
      Born June 24, 1932, in Port Allegany, he was a son of Dominic and Eleanor Dann Tronetti. On June 6, 1998, in Limestone, NY, he married Sharon L. Walling, who survives.
    Mr. Tronetti was employed by the Pittsburgh Corning Co. of Port Allegany, before his retirement.
    He was a veteran of the Korean War, having served with the US Army, where he was awarded the Purple Heart.
    He was a member of St. Joseph’s Catholic Church of Warren, and formerly of St. Mary’s Catholic Church, Roulette.
    He was a member of the Coudersport VFW, and Northern American Hunting Club.
    Surviving in addition to his wife, are a son, James D. (Linda) Tronetti of Roulette; five daughters, Tammy Blackwell of Jamestown, NY, Cindy Tronetti Dubots of Coudersport, Patricia (Curtis) Jones of Gilbertsville, Bonnie (Jason) Abrams and Connie (Eric) Eliason both of Bradford; several grandchildren, several great-grandchildren; three brothers, Donald (Peg) Tronetti of Erie, Gary (Mary) Tronetti of Port Allegany, Mark Tronetti of Kane; a sister, Linda (Tom) Lyman of Galeton; several nieces and nephews; several step-children, step-grandchildren, and several step-great-grandchildren.
    He was preceded in death by his parents, a son, Samuel Tronetti, a daughter, Sherry Tronetti, and a grandson, Walter Blackwell.
    Friends will be received from 2-4 and 6-8 p.m. Tuesday at the Switzer Funeral Home, Port Allegany.
    A Mass of Christian burial will be celebrated at 11 a.m. Wednesday (Dec. 30, 2009) in St. Gabriel’s Catholic Church, Port Allegany, with Rev. James Campbell, as celebrant. Burial will be in McKean Memorial Park, Lafayette.
     A scriptural wake service will be held at 1:40 P.M. Tuesday in the funeral home.
     The Port Allegany Honor Guard will conduct a military service immediately following the funeral, at St. Gabriel’s Catholic Church.
     Memorials can be made to the American Cancer Society.
