Edwin C. Jones
CUBA, NY - Edwin C. Jones, 65, of 5555 Smith Road passed away unexpectedly Sunday (Dec. 27, 2009) shortly after arrival at Olean General Hospital.
Born July 24, 1944, in Buffalo, he was a son of Betty Jones. Since 1989, he had been with his loving companion Barbara J. Wolf.
Mr. Jones worked at various jobs in the area and was known for his interest in restoring antique cars. He most recently worked for Affordable Auto Glass of Cuba as a glass technician prior to his retirement due to illness.
He enjoyed riding snowmobiles, cooking and doing upholstery work on antique car interiors.
Surviving are his loving companion, Barbara J. Wolf of Cuba; a son Kenneth (Angela) Wolf of Indiana; a daughter, Stacy Jones; several grandchildren; one brother Sherman (Gloria) Gage Sr. of Richburg; and two sisters, Gail (Frank) Marriott of North Tonawanda and Gladys Wendell of Tonawanda.
In addition to his mother, he was predeceased by an infant brother, Gene Gage.
Friends will be received at the Mark F. Rinker Funeral Home & Memorial Service, Inc., 9 Bull St., Cuba, on Thursday (Dec. 31, 2009) from 10 to 11 a.m., at which time a funeral service will be held.
The Rev. Leslie E. Chambers, pastor of the West Clarksville Baptist Church, will officiate.
