Adronicia J. Ford
Smethport, PA---Adronicia “Jean” Ford, 87, of Smethport, PA, formerly of Scio, NY and Brookville, PA, died Sunday, March 7, 2010, in Sena Kean Manor, Smethport, after a long illness.
Born February 3, 1923 in Waynesboro, PA, she was a daughter of Harry P. and Goldie M. Hamilton Fisher. On May 23, 1943 in Fort Pierce, Florida, she married Azel R. Ford, who survives.
Mrs. Ford was a former member of the 4 Square Gospel Church in Bradford. She enjoyed crocheting afghans and canning. Her greatest love was her family. Mrs. Ford resided in Smethport most of her life.
Surviving besides her husband are three sons, Richard A. (Jane) Ford of Roulette, David W. (Barbara) Ford of East Smethport, and Donald R. Ford; a daughter, Beverly J. (Lester) Long of Richmond, VA; thirteen grandchildren; several great-grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.
In addition to her parents, Mrs. Ford was predeceased by four brothers and three sisters.
There will be no public visitation. Private graveside services will be held on Monday, March 8, 2010 in the Maple Grove Cemetery, Shinglehouse.
Flowers are gratefully declined. Memorials may be made to the American Heart Association.
