Dolores E. (Dody) Huggler
KANE, PA - Dolores E. "Dody" Huggler, 82, of 130 Greeves St., Kane, formerly of Nansen, died Wednesday afternoon (March 3, 2010) at Sena Kean Manor in Smethport, PA.
Born Jan. 1, 1928, in Nansen, she was a daughter of Homer W. and Maude M. Wilson Garris. On July 3, 1953, in Kane, she married Herbert A. Huggler, who died in 2001.
Mrs. Huggler worked at Stackpole from 1962 to 1973, and was a member of Tabor Evangelical Lutheran Church, both in Kane.
Surviving are a son, Godfrey Huggler of Bradford, PA; a sister, Aletha Horton of Olean, NY; three grandchildren; two great-grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews, including Bonita Passmore in Florida.
She was preceded in death, in addition to her husband and parents, by a sister, Donella Vandervort; and brothers, Thomas and Wilson Garris.
Friends may call from 1 to 2 p.m. Saturday (March 6, 2010) at Ronald McDonald II Funeral Home, Inc., in Kane, at which time a service will be held there with the Rev. David Pflieger, chaplain of The Lutheran Home at Kane, officiating.
Interment will follow in Mount Tabor Cemetery, Kane.
