Alberta K. Parker
OLEAN, NY - Alberta K. Parker of 1710 Seneca Ave. passed away Tuesday (May 11, 2010) after a long illness.
Born May 18, 1933, in Olean, she was a daughter of Herman D. and Blanche Paventa Eaton. On March 23, 1963, in Shinglehouse, Pa., she married Richard A. Parker, who predeceased her Jan. 10, 2003.
She was a graduate of Hinsdale Central School and for many years Mrs. Parker was the manager of Gemstone Jewelry in Olean.
Mrs. Parker attended and was active in the Obi Community Church. She enjoyed playing cards, traveling and vacationing in Florida for the winter months. She loved spending time with her family.
Surviving are six children, Katherine M. (Michael) Feliciano of Buffalo, Karen D. (David) Prymak of Olean, Karla M. (Jack) Bright of Olean, Paul R. (Nina) Parker of Weston's Mills, Kim M. (Christopher) Seavey of Maine, N.Y., and Keren M. (Albert) Allen of Grand Rapids, Mich.; three stepsons, Gary C. (Cecelia) Parker of St. Thomas, Pa., Gilbert A. (Marolyn) Parker of Johnson City and Philip V. (Merry) Parker of York, Pa.; 21 grandchildren; six great-grandchildren; a sister, Lillian W. (Bruce) Blackmon of Hinsdale; and several nephews.
Besides her husband, she was predeceased by a stepson, Richard D. Parker.
Friends will be received at the Casey, Halwig and Hartle Funeral Home, 3128 W. State Road, Olean, from 2 to 4 p.m. and 7 to 9 p.m. Friday. Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. Saturday (May 15, 2010) with pastor Roger Hain officiating. Burial will be in Mount View Cemetery.
