Alice I. Snyder
BRADFORD, PA - Alice I. Snyder, 92, of 577 Summit Road passed away Friday (May 21, 2010) at Bradford Regional Medical Center, surrounded by her loving children and grandchildren.
She was born Oct. 20, 1917, in Blue Jay, a daughter of the late William M. and Sarah E. Shay Heasley. On April 30, 1936, she married Robert W. Snyder Sr. in Clarendon; he passed away Sept. 9, 1982.
She was a graduate of the former Eldred High School. She was employed by Airco Speer for a number of years.
She was a member of the First United Methodist Church of Bradford; the Order of the Eastern Star Chapter #61; the Maud Rebekah Lodge #175 Rew, for over 60 years; and the Otto Township Red Hat Mommas.
She is survived by one son, Raymond "Andy" (Kay) Snyder of Smethport; one daughter, Barbara (Don) Colebert of Duke Center; six grandsons, Barry Snyder of Duke Center, Bob (Rhoda) Colebert of Eldred, Gary (Wanda) Snyder of Foley, AL, Steve (Alison) Colebert of Lititz, Mike (Sandy) Snyder of Alexandria, VA, and Jeff Snyder of Houston; two granddaughters, Sue (Mark) O'Brien of Bradford and Sharon (Bob) Peterson of Smethport; 17 great-grandchildren and two great-great-grandchildren.
Besides her parents and husband, she was preceded in death by one son, Robert W. Snyder Jr.; one great-granddaughter; three sisters and three brothers.
Visitation will be held from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. Monday at Mascho Funeral Home, Inc. Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. Tuesday (May 25, 2010) in the funeral home with the Rev. Dennis Swineford, pastor of the First United Methodist Church, officiating.
Burial will be in McKean County Memorial Park.
