Patricia J. Harris
Loving mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother
ELDRED, PA - Patricia J. Harris, 83, of Windfall Road died Thursday (May 27, 2010) at Bradford Regional Medical Center after a short illness.
Born Feb. 2, 1927, in Olean, she was a daughter of Frank and Edna Seaman Wilson. On Sept. 20, 1963, in Allegany, she married Babbit A. Harris, who died July 13, 1968.
Mrs. Harris was a 1945 graduate of Olean High School and later attended Robert Wesleyan College in Rochester. A longtime resident of Eldred, she had been employed at Kreskes Department Store in Olean and later Weston's Shoppers City. Prior to her retirement she was employed at Vaughn's Store in Eldred.
She was a member of the Eldred Township Fire Department Auxiliary and a past member of the Free Methodist Church. She enjoyed drawing, crocheting, and playing the harmonica. She also loved playing Bingo.
Surviving are a son, Danny (Susan) Baker of Wrightsville, GA; four daughters, Barbara "Bobbie" (Sam Veno) Baker of Olean, Deb (Terry) Vaughn of Eldred, Kathy Rever of Lakeland, FL, and Tracey (Butch Farr) Rouse of Eldred; 15 grandchildren; several great- and great-great-grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.
She was predeceased by two sons, Robert Harris Sr. and Michael Harris; a brother, Frank Wilson; and a sister, Lois Burlingame.
Friends may call Saturday from 5 to 9 p.m. at Frame Funeral Home, Eldred, where funeral services will be held Sunday (May 30, 2010) at 11 a.m. with the Rev. Glenn Hamilton officiating. Burial will follow at Lamphier Cemetery, Eldred.
