Jean L. Jones
OLEAN, NY - Jean L. Jones of Daniels Gate, formerly of Taggerty Avenue, passed away Wednesday (June 2, 2010) at the Pines Healthcare and Rehabilitation Center in Olean.
Born July 24, 1924, in Bolivar, she was a daughter of William and Ina Loop Jones. In 1944, she married Gerald E. Elliott, who predeceased her in 1984. On Oct. 2, 1993, she married Kenneth C. Jones, who survives.
Mrs. Jones is a graduate of Bolivar High School.
In addition to her husband, she is survived by a daughter, Pamela E. (Bob) Stevenson of Olean; two granddaughters, Mindy M. Stevenson of Allegany and Megan M. Stevenson of Olean.
Mrs. Jones was predeceased by a son, Dennis G. Elliott in 2008.
There was no public visitation or funeral. A private burial was held in the Maple Lawn Cemetery, Bolivar.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Joyful Rescues, 1319 Turock Dr., Cuba, NY 14727.
Arrangements were under the direction of the Letro-McIntosh-Spink Funeral Home, Inc., 646 E. State St., Olean.
