Helen B. Rogers
ARCADE- Helen B. Rogers, 82, of Southview Drive, Arcade, formerly of Route 16, Delevan, died Friday (June 4, 2010) at the Pines in Machias.
Born Sept. 11, 1927, in Salamanca, she was a daughter of Merlin and Ethel Milgate Harvey. On March 3, 1946, in Franklinville, she married Wayne Rogers, who died Nov. 3, 2007.
Mrs. Rogers was a homemaker and was well known for her flower beds and Iris gardens.
Surviving are her children, Richard (Linda) Rogers of Avon Park, Fla., Danny (Judy) Rogers of Springville, Susan Gynnip of Freedom and Brenda Kraft of Sandusky; eight grandchildren; eight great-grandchildren; four sisters, Virginia Thropp of Allegany, Carol Hardy of Eldred, Pa., Joanne (Sidney) Lee of West Clarksville and Marjorie VanCuren of Olean; and many nieces and nephews.
In addition to her parents and husband, she was predeceased by a brother, Merlin Harvey.
Friends were received today (Tuesday, June 8, 2010) from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m., at which time funeral services were held.
Burial will be in Siloam Cemetery, Freedom.
Arrangements were under direction of the W.S. Davis Funeral Home Inc., 358 W. Main St., Arcade.
