Stephen A. Osgood

CUBA, NY - Stephen A. Osgood of 97 E. Main St. passed away Monday (June 14, 2010) at Olean General Hospital after a long illness.
Born Oct. 7, 1956, in Brooklyn, he was a son of the late Leonard E. and Goldie Bradford Osgood. He was married to the former Vickie Handmore.
A resident of Cuba most of his life, Stephen was a graduate of Cuba High School, where he was a member of the varsity football team, and attended Alfred State College for culinary arts.
He worked at Dresser-Rand for four years, at Stauffer's Cookie Factory in Cuba for 10 years and was a past manager of the Belvidere Truck Stop.
Surviving are his companion, Joan Vandewalker of Cuba; three sons, Jeremy Osgood and Stephen A. Osgood II, both of Hinsdale, and Stephen Leonard Osgood of Texas; a daughter, Mary Ann Osgood of California; a stepdaughter, Nichol Marie Handmore of Buffalo; several grandchildren; three sisters, Barbara Murphy of South Caroline, Karen (John) Poweska of Little Genesee and Bonnie (David) Dennis of Virginia; two brothers, Robert (Bonnie) Osgood of Virginia and Thomas Osgood of Binghamton; and several nieces and nephews.
There will be no visitation, A memorial service will be held at a later date at the convenience of the family.
Arrangements are under direction of the Guenther Funeral home, Inc., Portville.
