Rodney F. Burgess
FORT PIERCE, FLA - Rodney F. Burgess, 59, died (May 17, 2010), at his home in Fort Pierce, where he had resided for the past 15 years.
He was born April 8, 1951, in Coudersport, Pa., the son of Alvin and Margaret Burgess.
Mr. Burgess served with the U.S. Army for eight years and was a Green Beret.
Surviving are a son, Rick Burgess of Lafayette, La.; a daughter, Kelly Cushman of Port St. Lucie; two grandchildren; two sisters, Patricia Major of Emporium, Pa., and Barbara (Thomas) Robbins of California; a brother, Edward (Barb) Burgess of Port Allegany, Pa.; and several nieces, nephews, great-nieces and great-nephews.
In addition to his parents, he was predeceased by a brother, Oran Burgess.
A memorial service will be held June 26, 2010, at 2 p.m. in the Port Allegany United Methodist Church, with the Rev. Randy Headley officiating.
Friends and family are invited to attend.
Arrangements were handled by All County Funeral Home and Crematory in Stuart.
