William E. (Bill) Butts
NORTH CHILI - William E. (Bill) Butts, 71, of North Chili died Sunday (June 13, 2010) at the Journey Home hospice house in Rochester.
He was born Feb. 22, 1939, in West Clarksville, a son of the late William T. and Margaret Lamb Butts. He was married to Janice M. Butts, who survives.
Mr. Butts served with the U.S. Army during the Vietnam era, from 1962 to 1964.
Surviving besides his wife of 50 years are his loving children, Stephen (Laurie) Butts and Stephanie Raker; three grandchildren, Austin, Kristin and Dakota; a sister, Beverly; several nieces and nephews; and a special aunt, Lorraine.
In addition to his parents, he was predeceased by a brother, Theodore; and two sisters, Shirley and Jackie.
The family wishes to extend a thank you to the staff at the Wilmot Cancer Center.
There will be no prior calling hours.
A celebration of Bill's life will be held Thursday (June 17, 2010) at 4 p.m. at the United Methodist Church of North Chili, Westside Drive.
Burial will be private.
