Sally L. Hull Whippo
loving wife, mother, grandmother
FALCONER, NY - Sally L. Hull Whippo, 55, of 1895 E. Main St., a former Cuba resident, passed away Friday (June 18, 2010) at home after a long illness.
Born Feb. 20, 1955, in Cuba, she was a daughter of Robert and Mary Virginia Leipold Hull. On Feb. 5, 2001, in Falconer, she married Robert P. Whippo, who survives.
A Cuba resident and waitress most of her adult life, she worked at various restaurants in the Cuba and Olean area, finishing her career at the TK Ribbings Restaurant in Falconer.
Sally was a loving and devoted wife, mother, sister and grandmother. She enjoyed spending her free time with her family and playing with her grandchildren.
Surviving, in addition to her mother and her husband, are four sons, Toby (Cheryl) Zielinski of Lampassas, TX, Keith Zielinski of Eldred, PA, Jason (Erika) Zielinski of Jamestown and Brian Zielinski of Cuba; 10 grandchildren; four great-grandchildren; three sisters, Melody (Larry) Hayward of Cuba, Shari Hull of Cuba and Judy (Charles) Wing of Scio; and two stepsons, Craig Whippo of Lakewood and Mark (Annie) Whippo of Portville.
In addition to her father, she was predeceased by two brothers, Robert Hull and Terrance R. "Terry" Hull; a sister, Sandra L. "Sandy" Amundson; and a niece, Tamie K. Lockwood.
The family will receive friends at the Mark F. Rinker Funeral Home & Memorial Service, Inc., 9 Bull St., Cuba, Monday from 7 to 9 p.m. and Tuesday (June 22, 2010) from 10 to 11 a.m., at which time funeral services sill be held. The Rev. Walter E. Venman, pastor of Clarks Corners Community Church, will officiate. Burial will be in Cuba Cemetery, Cuba.
