Pennsylvania State Technical Advisory Committee Local Work Group Meeting
to be Held August 10th
USDA's Natural Resources Conservation Service (NRCS) has announced that a local work group meeting of the Pennsylvania State Technical Advisory Committee will be held on August 10, 2010 from 9:30am - 12:00pm at the Commissioners Conference Room, Cameron County Courthouse, Emporium, PA, 15834.
The local work group is meeting to discuss the application and ranking system for the 2011 Farm Bill Programs.

The primary role of the local work group is to provide input to the State Technical Advisory Committee which develops technical guidelines necessary to implement the conservation provisions in the 2008 Farm Bill. The NRCS Pennsylvania State Conservationist chairs the committee.
NRCS is USDA's lead conservation agency and has worked hand-in-hand with farmers and landowners for more than 70 years to conserve natural resources on private lands.
