Barbara L. Bee
PORT ALLEGANY- Barbara L. Bee, 83, of Hummingbird Lane, Open-brook, Smethport, formerly of Pine St. passed away Friday (Aug. 6, 2010) in Charles Cole Memorial Hospital, Coudersport.
Born July 1, 1927, in Cherry Tree, PA, she was a daughter of Harry and Mary Lockard Plouse. On Oct. 18, 1943, in Clymer, PA, she married Theodore M. Bee, who died Oct. 1986.
Barbara was a graduate of Cherry Tree High School, Class of 1942.
She was employed by Viko Furniture Co., later Ethan Allen Co., Eldred, for 32 years before retiring.
Surviving are two sons, Arnold T. Bee of Port Allegany, and Ricky A. (Penny) Bee of Smethport; two daughters, B. Diana (Edward) Janiszewski of Smethport, Judy K. Bee of Port Allegany; 14 grandchildren, 20 great-grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, Theodore, a son, Bruce W. Bee, a grandson, Christian J. Bee, a great-grandson, Ty M. Moses, and a lifelong companion, Charles Confer.
Friends will be received from 4-8 p.m. Sunday (Aug. 8, 2010) in the Switzer Funeral Home, Port Allegany. Private funeral services will be held Monday in the funeral home. Burial will be in Fairview Cemetery, Port Allegany.
