Thomas Allen (Tommy) Ritter
FRIENDSHIP, NY - Thomas Allen "Tommy" Ritter, 55, of 16 Stevens St. died unexpectedly Monday (Aug. 23, 2010) at Olean General Hospital.
Born Dec. 15, 1954, in Cuba, he was a son of William L. and Margaret R. Paoliello Ritter Sr.
Tommy had resided in Friendship all his life and was a 1973 graduate of Friendship Central School. After school, he was a mechanic at both Bub's Quaker State Station and his father's Keystone Station, both in Friendship. For 11 years, he was a machinist at API Airtech in Arcade.
He was a social member of Friendship American Legion Post 1168 and a member of the Belmont Archery Outfitters Inc.
Tommy enjoyed car racing, archery, detailing cars, hunting and being with his family and friends.
Surviving besides his father of Friendship are two brothers, William L. (Rita) Ritter and Stephen G. (Sharon) Ritter, both of Friendship; a sister, Cheryl A. Owens of Friendship; several nieces and nephews; and good friends, David, Danny and Malcolm Sortore.
He was predeceased by his mother in 2009.
There will be no visitation. A memorial service will be held at the convenience of the family.
Burial will be in Mount Hope Cemetery, Friendship.
Memorials may be made to the Friendship Ambulance Squad or American Heart Association.
Arrangements are under the direction of the Treusdell Funeral Home, Friendship.
