David F. Reesher
LITTLE GENESEE - David F. Reesher, 52, of 372 Sanford Hollow Road passed away Wednesday (Feb. 25, 2009) at his home.
Born Aug. 10, 1956 in Olean, he was a son of Francis and Ellen Anderson Reesher.
David was a graduate of Bolivar Central School, class of 1974, and was a veteran of the US Coast Guard, serving from 1974 to 1978.
He had been employed by the Crounse Corp. in Maysville, KY, as a barge engineer for many years until retiring in 2008.
David was a member of Kenyon Andrus American Legion Post 772 of Bolivar and was an avid hunter and fisherman.
Surviving are his parents, Francis and Ellen Reesher, of Ceres; two sisters, Lynda Herne of Ceres and Shae (Jeff) Smith of Buffalo; a brother, Kirk (Yvonne) Reesher of Wellsville; and several nieces and nephews.
He was predeceased by a brother, Rick Reesher, on Jan. 28, 2008.
There will be no public visitation. A memorial service will be held Saturday (March 7, 2009) at 1pm at the Heritage AFlame Ministries Center, Salt Rising Road, Bolivar, with the Rev. David Herne officiating. Burial will be in Maple Lawn Cemetery, Bolivar.
