Yvonne 'Vonnie' DeGaine
ELDRED, PA - Yvonne "Vonnie" DeGaine, 60, of Easton, formerly of Salamanca, NY, died Wednesday (Dec. 22, 2010) at Easton Hospital following a long illness.
Born May 31, 1950, in Salamanca, NY, she was a daughter of the late Robert and Bertha Frost DeGaine Sr.
She was a 1968 graduate of Salamanca High School and also attended and graduated from Edinboro University.
Yvonne lived in the Easton area for over 30 years and has worked as a dispatcher for the Palmer Township Police Department.
She was very proud of her family and loved hearing about her nieces and nephew's accomplishments.
Surviving are two brothers, James (Patricia) DeGaine of South Carolina and Robert (Sally) DeGaine Jr. of Salamanca, NY; a sister, Marcia DeGaine of Salamanca, NY; her nieces and nephew, Gigi (Brian) Rowland of South Carolina, Robert (Jessica) DeGaine III of Florida, Jacqueline (John) Guinn of Virginia and Stacy (Bret) Schmidt of Wisconsin; her aunts, Arlene Abdo and Lib DeGaine; and an uncle, Dominic Rapacioli.
There will be no visitations. A memorial mass may be said at a later date.
Funeral arrangements are under the direction of the O'Rourke & O'Rourke, Inc., Funeral Home, 25 River St., Salamanca, NY.
The family suggests that memorials be made to the charity of the donor's choice.
