Margaret A. Faes
CROSBY, PA - Margaret A. Faes, 83, of Crosby died Wednesday (Jan. 5, 2011) at Sena-Kean Manor in Smethport.
Born May 17, 1927, in Humphrey, NY, she was a daughter of Clair and Anna Rinko Cooney. On May 17, 1947, in St. Elizabeth Church, Smethport, she married Robert Faes Sr., who died Jan. 30, 2005.
Mrs. Faes was a graduate of Colegrove High School and was a homemaker, tending to the needs of her family.
She was a member of St. Elizabeth Church in Smethport and its Women's Club, John Berg American Legion Post 976 Auxiliary of Crosby and Norwich Grange 2018.
Surviving are a daughter, Lori (Bob) Gigliotti of Durham, NC; two sons, Robert (Phyllis) Faes Jr. of Davie, FL, and John (Karen) Faes of Port Allegany; and several grandchildren.
In addition to her parents and husband, she was predeceased by a son, Edward Faes, in 2001.
Friends may call Sunday from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. at the Hartle-Tarbox Funeral Home, Inc., 2 Bank St., Smethport. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held Monday (Jan. 10, 2011) at 10 a.m. in St. Elizabeth Church, Smethport, with Father Vincent P. Cieslewicz, pastor, as celebrant. Burial will be in St. Elizabeth Cemetery, Smethport.
A Christian wake service will be conducted Sunday at 7:30 p.m. in the funeral home.
