Erika E. Mix
“beloved sister”
Scio, NY---Erika E. Mix, 51, of Scio, NY, died in her home on Sunday, March 1, 2009.
Born October 2, 1957 in Olean, NY, she was a daughter of Harold and Ann Stroh Mix.
She was a graduate of Oswayo Valley High School in Shinglehouse, PA. Erika was employed as an aid at Allegany ARC in Wellsville for 5 years.
She loved camping, horseback riding, and spending time at home with friends and family.
Surviving are her husband, Ian Gilmore of Scio; a sister, Betsey (Robert) Kemp of Ceres, PA; several nieces; a nephew; and several great-nieces and nephews.
In addition to her parents Erika was preceded in death by a sister, Susan Mix; her paternal grandparents, Pete and Eva Mix; and her maternal grandparents, Bernhard and Ehefrau Elise Stroh.
There will be no public visitation. A memorial service will be held in the Ceres United Methodist Church on Sunday, March 8, 2009 at 2 p.m. Burial will be at the convenience of the family in the Bell Run Cemetery, Shinglehouse.
Arrangements are under the direction of the Virgil L. Howard Funeral Home, Shinglehouse, PA.
