Florence S. Chesebro
former Portville resident
TONAWANDA, NY - Florence S. Chesebro of Tonawanda passed away Tuesday (April 19, 2011) at DeGraff Memorial Hospital in North Tonawanda.
She was born Aug. 12, 1916, in Rome, NY, a daughter of John J. and Beulah Wilson Seaton. On Jan. 6, 1939, in Oneida, she married Charles H. Chesebro, who predeceased her June 11, 1971.
Surviving are one son, Lynn (Dolores) Chesebro of North Tonawanda; three daughters, Maxine (Bill Dunning) Latten of Portville, Shirley A. Chesebro of Tonawanda and Cindy (William) Darnell of Kenmore; a sister, Pearl Gradwell of Fort Myers, FL; 10 grandchildren including Jeffrey (Valerie) Latten and Thomas (Tracey) Latten of Portville, Dennis (Kimberly) Latten of Cuba and David L. Latten of Portville; several great and great-great-grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.
In addition to her parents and husband, she was predeceased by eight brothers, three sisters, twin great-grandsons and a very special friend, Lauren Hollister.
Services will be held Friday (April 22, 2011) in Sherrill. Burial will be in Oneida Castle Cemetery.
Arrangements are under direction of the Malecki Funeral Home in Sherrill.
