Claude F. (Fred) Hungiville
Smethport - Claude F. "Fred" Hungiville, 66, of Smethport, died Saturday (March 7, 2009) in the Bradford Regional Medical Center, Bradford.
He was born Oct 30, 1942 in Bradford, a son of William G. and Mary Elizabeth Bullers Hungiville, Sr.
Mr. Hungiville was a 1961 graduate of Smethport High School. He was a SP 4 in the U.S. Army, serving during Vietnam.
Mr. Hungiville was employed at Dresser Manufacturing of Bradford, and then, as a framer at the Ethan Allen Co. of Eldred, retiring in 2006.
He was a member of American Legion Bucktail Post #138, Smethport, VFW Post #2497 of Smethport, McKean Lodge #388 F&AM of Smethport, Zem Zem Temple, Erie, PA and the McKean County Shrine Club.
He is survived by one daughter, Amy Hungiville of Smethport; two sons, Leonard Hungiville of Smethport, Scott Hungiville of Mt. Jewett; one brother, William Hungiville, Jr. of Smethport; and six grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his parents
Friends may call on Thursday, March 12, 2009 from 2-4 and 6-8 P.M. at Hartle-Tarbox Funeral Homes, Inc., 2 Bank St., Smethport, PA. Funeral and committal services will be held on Friday, March 13, 2009 at 11:00 am from the Hartle-Tarbox Funeral Homes, Inc., Smethport with the Rev. Max Simms, pastor of the Hilltop Baptist Church, officiating. Burial will be in St. Elizabeth Cemetery, Smethport. Full military Honors will be accorded by the American Legion Bucktail Post # 138 at the funeral home.
Masonic services will be held at 7:30pm Thursday in the funeral home.
