Lillian M. Enderle
loving mother and grandmother
CUBA, NY - Lillian M. Enderle, 95, of 36 Maple St., Cuba, a former resident of Richburg and Bolivar, passed away Saturday (June 11, 2011) at Jones Memorial Hospital in Wellsville following a brief illness.
Born July 18, 1915, in East Strousburg, PA, she was a daughter of Frank A. and Myrtle Mosher Enderle.
Lillian received her GED in 1981 at the age of 66. During World War II, she worked in a military factory in Elmira producing bombsights, and while raising six children she also did baby-sitting and house cleaning.
She loved to crochet, was an avid reader of mysteries and love stories and was an expert at crossword puzzles, jigsaw puzzles and word puzzles.
Surviving are four sons, Allen D. (Carol) Taylor of Friendship, Pastor David L. (Margaret) Taylor of Bowie, MD, Stephen P. (Sandra) Taylor of Hinsdale and Raymond C. (Rosalie) Taylor of Angelica; two daughters, Lois M. (Gary) Fancher of Black Creek and Sue A. Taylor of Cuba; 24 grandchildren; 58 great-grandchildren; and 12 great-great-grandchildren.
She was predeceased by a son, Glenn R. Taylor Jr.; six brothers, Clifford Enderle, Frank Enderle, Donald Enderle, Carl Enderle, Leslie Enderle and Jack Enderle; and two sisters, Ella Spencer and Beatrice "Daisy" Davis.
Friends may call at the Schaffner Funeral Home, Inc., Bolivar, on Tuesday from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m.; and at the Richburg First Day Baptist Church on Wednesday (June 15, 2011) from 10 to 11 a.m., at which time funeral services will be held. Pastor Larry Allen will officiate. Burial will be in Mt. Hope Cemetery, Friendship.
