      ALLEGANY, NY- Gertrude E. “Trudy” Griffith of Route 417, formerly of Port Allegany, passed away Thursday (Feb. 5, 2009) at the home of her daughter, surrounded by her family.
       Friends are invited to attend a celebration of life service to be held at 2 p.m. Sunday (May 24, 2009) in Allegheny State Park, Red House area, in the pavilion across from the administration building. Rev. Judy Gallegos, pastor of the Joy Community Church of Machias, NY, will officiate.
      Funeral arrangements are under the direction of the Switzer Funeral Home, Port Allegany.
