PORT ALLEGANY - Robert W. Johnson, 55, of Chestnut St., died Sunday (August, 9, 2009) in his home, after a brief illness.
Born April 3, 1954, in Port Allegany, he was a son of Verner W. and Margaret E. Abplanap Johnson. On June 25, 2004, in Smethport, he married Debora J. Campbell, who survives.
Mr. Johnson was employed by Teu Tech Co. of Emporium, as a machine operator.
He was a veteran having served in the US Navy (1976-1982).
He was a lifetime resident of the area and a graduate of the Port Allegany High School, Class of 1972, and attended the University of Pittsburgh at Bradford, majoring in computer programming.
He was a member of the Sons of the American Legion, Post 258, Port Allegany, and American Association of Retired Persons.
Surviving in addition to his mother, Margaret and wife, Debora, are a daughter, Christie L. Campbell of Coudersport, a stepson, Jeffery S. Campbell of Bradford; four grandchildren; a brother, Richard A. (Sandy) Johnson of Port Allegany; and several nieces and nephews.
Friends are invited to attend a memorial service at 11 a.m. Saturday (Aug. 15, 2009) in the Evangelical Covenant Church, Port Allegany, with Rev. Kristen Nelson, pastor, officiating.
